01 Why weekends
You're reserving the whole estate, not a single night
A weekend package is priced the way it is because of what it protects. When you reserve a weekend, we close the estate to every other wedding and event on those days. No one else is setting up on your Friday, and no one is waiting for you to check out so their day can start.
That is why a package can cost more than booking a single wedding day and adding a night on your own. Couples who book one day are welcome to add nights as the date gets closer, if the days on either side are still open. With the demand we see for Friday and Sunday dates, they usually aren't.
If an unhurried weekend with your people matters to you, a package is the only way to guarantee it.

What's Included
Every package covers your wedding day at the estate: 12 hours of exclusive use for getting ready, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception.
- Exclusive use of the estate for your wedding, with no other events that day
- Bridal suite (two rooms, four vanity stations, private bath) and the groom's cottage
- Estate ballroom (seats 60, 90 for a ceremony) and the upper and lower terraces
- Sailcloth tent with white draping and tent lighting, April through November, for up to 200 guests
- 150 Willow ceremony chairs, 150 King Louis reception chairs, 15 round tables, 10 cocktail tables, rectangular tables, and the white Estate Bar
- Setup and breakdown of all Northfield tables and chairs
- A dedicated venue manager on your wedding day
- Grounds for engagement or bridal portraits, by appointment
- Parking for 80+ cars and 8 guest restrooms (2 accessible)

Pricing Questions
How much does a wedding at Northfield Estate cost?
2027 weekend packages start at $13,000 for an off-peak Saturday with one night at the estate, and run to $36,000 for a full Friday-through-Sunday buyout in peak season. Every package includes exclusive use of the estate for your wedding day.
Why does a weekend package cost more than a wedding plus an extra night?
A weekend package closes the estate to every other event on those days, so the whole weekend is guaranteed to be yours. Couples who book a single wedding day can add nights closer to the date if the neighboring days are still open, but because of demand for Fridays and Sundays they usually aren't.
Which days do the weekend packages cover?
Weekend packages run Friday through Sunday only. Weekday (Monday through Thursday) weddings are quoted on request, depending on availability.
What are your seasons?
Peak season is May, June, September, and October. Mid season is April, July, August, and November. Off-peak is December through March, when weddings are held in the ballroom for up to 60 guests and the sailcloth tent is not available.
Is there a cost for more than 150 guests?
Northfield's included tables and chairs seat 150. Guest counts above that add $50 per person for supplemental tables and chairs, up to 200 guests outdoors.
How do we reserve our date?
Start with a private tour. A signed contract and a 50% deposit reserve your date, and the remaining balance is due four months before the wedding.
