Northfield Estate is at 54 Northfield Road in Cumberland, Virginia, near the center of the state. Richmond and Charlottesville are each about an hour away, Lynchburg about an hour and a quarter, and Farmville about 20 minutes.
Below are drive times and travel notes for the counties our couples come from most. All times are approximate and depend on your starting point.
Powhatan and Goochland
About 30 to 45 minutes. US-60 runs west from Powhatan Courthouse straight into Cumberland County. See our Powhatan page for more.
Amelia County
About 40 minutes, crossing the Appomattox into Cumberland on back roads. An easy day trip for guests.
Buckingham County
About 30 minutes. Buckingham sits between the estate and Charlottesville, and its farmhouses and lake rentals make good guest lodging.
Prince Edward County and Farmville
About 20 minutes to Farmville, home to Longwood University, Hampden-Sydney College, and the nearest hotels.
Lynchburg
